I take your personal information seriously, so here is exactly what I collect, why, and what I do with it. No legal jargon, just the honest version.
When you buy a reading, I collect your name, date of birth, email address, and whatever you write in the context box describing your situation. If you buy a Compatibility reading, I also collect a second person's name and date of birth, which you provide on their behalf.
I never see or store your card details. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe, a payment processor used by millions of businesses worldwide. Kodex does not touch, see, or keep your payment information at any point.
Your date of birth and context are used to generate your reading and to calculate your Tzolkin Kin. Your name and email are used to deliver that reading to you and to contact you if something goes wrong with your order.
I don't sell your data. I don't share it with advertisers. I don't use it for anything beyond creating and delivering the exact product you paid for.
A small number of trusted services help me run Kodex, and your information passes through them only to the extent needed to deliver your reading:
Stripe, to process your payment securely.
Anthropic, whose Claude AI model writes the text of your reading based on your Tzolkin pattern and the context you provide.
Resend, an email delivery service, to send your reading to your inbox.
Each of these services only receives what it needs to do its specific job. None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Kodex does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. The only technical data stored is a small note in your own browser (not on my servers) to remember your Kin if you use the free Tzolkin calculator, so you don't have to re-enter your birthday every visit. You can clear this yourself at any time from within the calculator.
I keep order records for as long as needed to meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations. Beyond that, I don't keep your personal details longer than necessary to deliver your reading and handle any follow-up questions you have about it.
You can ask me at any time what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Message me directly and I'll handle it personally, usually within a few days.
Kodex is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If I update this policy, I'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of yourkodex.com after a change means you accept the new version.
